Profession-wise learned how to re-link the Oracle binaries, as recommended by Oracle "You must relink the Oracle Clusterware and Oracle ASM binaries every time you apply an operating system patch or after an operating system upgrade".

STEP 1: relink rdbms – node1/node2
$ hostname
$ ps -ef | grep d.bin
–To ensure no CRS backgroud process running
$ ps -ef | grep oracle
–To ensure no Oracle process runing
$ uname -r
–Check OS version is upgraded
$ rpm -qa | grep oracleasm
–Package check
$ . oraenv
ORACLE_SID = [oracle] ? xxxxx
$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
$ pwd
$ script $ORACLE_HOME/admin/xxxxx/relink_node1_rdbms.log
Script started, file is /app/oracle/…/admin/xxxxx/relink_node1_rdbms.log
$ relink all
$ exit
STEP 2: relink asm – node1/node2
$ . oraenv
ORACLE_SID = [etcash1] ? +ASM1
$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
$ pwd
$ script Same_path/relink_node1_asm.log
–specify where the log file to keep
$ relink all
$ exit
$
STEP 3: relink agent – node1/node2
$ . oraenv
ORACLE_SID = [+ASM1] ? agent
$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/lib
$ pwd
$ script Same path/relink_node1_agent.log
$ make -f ins_emagent.mk agent
!!!IMPORTANT NOTE: To complete this Install/upgrade, please login as root and
                execute the root.sh script.
$ exit
STEP 4: start mgm listener and agent, node1/node2
$ echo $ORACLE_HOME
$ lsnrctl start LISTENER_NAME
$ . oraenv
ORACLE_SID = [etcash1] ? agent
$ emctl start agent
$ ps -ef | grep lsnr
$ ps -ef | grep agent
STEP 5: check db connectivity
a) Using TNSPING to check connectivities to the node1, node2 and the virtual instance
b) Using sqlplus to log into node1, node2, and the virtual instance as system to retrieve from gv$instance
